Story of the Jasmine

A gardener, a divine man once,
planted a flower in the garden of kindness.

When he would leave, he said
Some day sooner or later,
His memento would remain,
The Jasmine in the garden.

Every sunset
Jasmine fragrance
was diffuse in the air,
Filling in the nostrils
The fragrance of God
***
Those with no sign of goodness,
saw the beauty of Jasmine,
as salience of their ugliness.

Insensible passerby
Walked over the Jasmine
Broke its stem
Those merciless guys.

Leaned against the wall, the young Jasmine
Ready to blossom, but was too late;

The spring was already gone.

Hidden from strangers,
In the darkness of night,
Another gardener took her
Planted her in a flower-bed.

Since then for a thousand years,
The air fills with Jasmine fragrance
However the place of the Jasmine
Is still unknown to all humans.
